Lithium-ion battery

Lithium-ion battery refers to a type of battery made of lithium metal or lithium alloy as positive/negative material and using a non-aqueous electrolyte solution.

Most lithium batteries used for home energy storage generally use lithium iron phosphate cells due to the lower cost and long cycle life and with the development of science and technology, lithium battery has become the mainstream.

Lead-acid battery

A lead-acid battery is a type of battery whose electrodes are mainly made of lead and its oxides, and whose electrolyte is a solution of sulfuric acid.

In the discharge state of the lead-acid battery, the main component of the positive electrode is lead dioxide, and the main component of the negative electrode is lead. In the charging state, the main components of positive and negative electrodes are lead sulfate.

Lead-acid battery technology has been around for over 100 years that has been used in off-grid energy systems for decades. Lead-acid batteries are the most widely used and have the largest market share among chemical batteries, the main market is a stable and assured civil market, especially in large-scale energy storage applications. For larger capacity and off-grid applications lead-acid deep cycle batteries would be much more competitive.

Advantages of lead-acid battery

1. Cheap-Lead-acid batteries are the cheapest secondary batteries.
2. Proven technique-the longest time to realize industrial production, the most mature technology, stable and reliable performance, and good applicability
3. Good safety-no flammability, normal or low-pressure design. All lead-acid batteries are UL certified.
4. Easy recycling and reuse-Lead-acid batteries have simple composition and high recycling value, which is the easiest battery to realize recycling and recycling.
5. Stable operating voltage-The electromotive force is stable during discharge.

6. Compatibility-It can be compatible with various electronic consumables.
